Set your alarms: Japan's Asian Cup group games all kick off at 2:30am PT

Update, Nov 3: the AFC has postponed the Asian Cup to Dec 23, 2027 to Jan 21, 2028 (pending FIFA approval), so the January dates and kickoff times below no longer apply. New Japan match dates are TBA. We finally have times. The AFC published the full Asian Cup 2027 match schedule on Oct 26, and every one of Japan's Group F matches kicks off at 1:30pm in Saudi Arabia. That's 7:30pm in Japan, and for those of us in the US it means early mornings: 2:30am Pacific, 5:30am Eastern. Here's the run: Indonesia on Monday Jan 11 in Jeddah, Thailand on Saturday Jan 16 in Riyadh, and Qatar on Wednesday Jan 20 in Riyadh. In the US, every match is on Paramount+ through CBS Sports. Our schedule now shows each kickoff in your own timezone, and the calendar downloads are proper timed events. One honest caveat. The AFC is still expected to decide in mid-November whether the tournament goes ahead in Saudi Arabia as planned, and it has said individual fixtures could still move. Until then, this is the official schedule, and we'll update it the moment anything changes. Coffee on, alarms set. Moriyasu's last tournament deserves a full house of sleepy supporters.
