The story

Understated and beautifully made. The 2018 home was built on kachi-iro, the deep 'victory color' indigo, with a graphic that mimics Sashiko, the traditional Japanese stitching done in white thread on indigo cloth. A red v-neck, solid dark-blue back. Japan wore it to a memorable Russia 2018 run and the heartbreak against Belgium, and it has aged into one of the era's quiet classics.

adidas built the 2018 home around Sashiko, the traditional craft of white stitching on indigo-dyed cloth, rendered as a graphic across the front and sleeves. The base is kachi-iro, the deep 'victory color' indigo, with hints of red and white for the flag, a ribbed v-neck trimmed in red, and a solid dark-blue back.
